NPVA Vet Shares his Visit to Allen Frear Elementary School

Ron Hunsicker writes: “I was blessed to be one of many honored Veterans at a Veterans ceremony at the Allen Frear Elementary School on November 9, 2023. They had over 260 notes written by the students posted on various bulletin boards. Here are some I’d like to share”:

  • “Dear Army, Thank you for saving so many lives. You keep us safe.”
  • “Big sacrifice, Big Price.”
  • “Thank you for being great!”
  • “Thank you for your service. You guys are brave and hard working. Thank you for serving our country.”
  • “You are our heroes”
  • “You are so brave…my hero.”
  • “Thank you for giving us freedom”
  • “Thank you for protecting our rights and duty and honor for our country and keeping us safe”
  • “If you are reading this, to all veterans, my veteran passed so all I wish is for all veterans to be safe and thanks for protecting us and keeping us safe”
  • “Thank you for always being there when we need you.”
  • “Thank you for being our hero. You served and sacrificed for us. We wouldn’t be anything without you guys”
  • “Thank you for all the things you did for this country and for your bravery,”
  • “To all veterans, I love you”
  • “I thank you for your service. You are special to the USA. You are the best.”
  • “Thank you for sacrificing yourself for us.”
  • “Thank you veterans. You are awesome. You help our world so much.”

  • I cannot describe how thankful I am to know that you care for all of us, and your country. You risk your lives for our country and the people that live in it. Thank you so much for everything you do! God bless all of you.
